Keep WheelLab Going!

1

Support us with a one time or recurring donation.

WheelLab accepts monetary donations, bike donations, parts, tools and really anything bike related. We mainly use the bikes in our Build a Bike program where youth rebuild them and get to keep the bikes in the end. Sometimes we refurbish bikes to sell, but don't worry, all of the funds generated from these sales goes right back into the amazing programs we offer. It's what keeps us moving forward.

2

Donate a bike. Buy a bike.

Bike drives are a community fundraiser on the first Monday of every month, from 3:00-5:30 PM. The goal is to sell and trade some of our bike inventory to support the programs we offer and the families in our community. We keep the bike prices low and allow families to trade up in size if needed. WheelLab accepts all bikes, bike parts and bike accessories, but is especially in need of bikes in good condition, including: 20″ wheel BMX style bikes, 24″ and 26″ wheel mountain bikes, and road bikes of any size.

Host a Team Bike Build charity event at your company.

In this program, participants will get the opportunity to learn about building bikes which will then be donated to a charity of your choosing. This program brings people together and helps increase teamwork and leadership skills in a fun and interactive way, while at the same time giving deserving youth the chance to enjoy the fun of cycling with a new bike. This program is entirely not for profit and will combine a fundraiser with a charitable donation. The funds will go back into WheelLab to allow for the continuation of programs helping at risk teens and youth. Not only will you increase your teamwork and leadership skills, you will also have the satisfaction of knowing you helped create an impact in a youths’ life.

The program runs for approximately two hours. You and your group will get to build a bike and complete other fun tasks or activities. To build the bike, participants have to engage in a range of exciting activities to earn individual parts they can add to their bike, keeping a fun and friendly atmosphere and emphasizing teamwork. After the program has ended the bikes will be donated to a charity of your choosing and a deserving youth will get the opportunity to receive a new bike, an opportunity we believe all youth should have.

4

Host a giving event at your company.

Does your work team want to learn more about what our organization does for youth and the community? Have WheelLab representatives bring our culture to your work place by hosting a giving event. Participants will engage with some of our graduates and staff, while learning about the programs we offer and our mission to support the youth and families in our community.
